Greetings Etiquette

Men and women shake hands in Cuba. Handshakes among men may be held longer than usual and direct eye contact is the norm. Close friends hug and women may kiss one another on the cheek.

Dining & Visiting Homes Etiquette

If you are invited to a Cuban’s home for dinner, you will be shown where to sit. Don’t begin dining until the host has proclaimed, “Buen provecho!”
