Men shake hands unless they know one another well. If so, they may hug.

Women will usually kiss one another on the cheek, except in formal settings, when they may shake hands. Such greetings take place when meeting and leaving.

Women, friends, or relatives may place three kisses on alternate cheeks.

Note that men and women might not touch one another at all in some places.
